This painting is about learning to treat myself with kindness instead of criticism.

For a long time, I questioned parts of myself like my need for quiet, the way I would withdraw to recharge, and my need for space. I saw these as limitations.

Over time, that began to change. I began to understand that the parts of me I had judged were shaped by what I’ve lived through, not signs of weakness.

In the painting, the marks behind her are not wounds, but traces of a life that has been lived. She is not trying to erase them. She is learning to accept them as part of herself.
