Behind this painting
This painting is about finding a way to make sense of my thoughts.
There were times when my mind felt busy and difficult to settle. My thoughts would circle and overlap, and I found it hard to see clearly what I was feeling or thinking.
I realised I needed somewhere for those thoughts to go, rather than holding everything inside.
Writing became that place. Putting my thoughts onto paper gave me distance from them. They no longer felt like something happening to me, but something I could look at more clearly once they were written down.
Over time, this helped me to understand what was underneath the noise. Things that felt tangled started to take shape.
In the painting, the window represents looking inward — a way of seeing myself more clearly. The journal is my companion, somewhere I can place my thoughts and begin to understand them.
