About Me
In 2022, at the age of 52, I turned my long-held dream into reality by leaving my native Scotland to begin a new chapter of my life in Turkiye. After years of navigating a high-pressure career in finance, I stepped away from the stress and deadlines to embrace a life of possibility, peace, and creativity.

My move wasn’t just a change of scenery — it was a deeply personal step toward healing from a childhood marked by emotional difficulty and instability. Leaving that environment allowed me to reclaim my sense of self, restore my happiness, and slowly build the peace I once believed was out of reach.

For many years, I lived in the logical side of my mind, never quite feeling fulfilled. Retirement opened a golden door to my creativity, allowing me to discover my artistic voice and express the transformation I had worked so hard to achieve. Drawing inspiration from my lived experience, I hope to offer encouragement — that healing is real, that dreams can be lived, and that happiness can emerge from even the hardest beginnings.

I initially explored several subject matters, but found myself irresistibly drawn to figurative art. There is something profound in capturing a narrative within a painting — its ability to express emotion, identity, and stories that words often fail to hold. That fascination has quickly grown into a deep passion.

Alongside this transformation, I created a series of 21 oil paintings that trace this journey in visual form.

Each painting expresses a moment of change or understanding in my journey — images of what it can feel like to move through life and gradually discover your true self. They are points along my path, each one reflecting something I lived and came to understand.

If you feel drawn to it, I invite you to walk this path with me — to step through the paintings, and to experience the journey in both image and your own reflection.
