Love Accepted by Betty Greer_edited_edit

Behind this painting

This painting is about allowing yourself to receive love — fully, and without question.

For a long time I didn't fully understand what love was meant to feel like. I had grown used to shaping myself in relationships, adjusting without always realising I was doing it. It felt natural, because I hadn't yet understood that I was worthy of love exactly as I was.

That understanding changed everything. When I stopped adjusting and simply stood in my own truth, something remarkable happened — I found a love that met me there. My husband sees me for exactly who I am, and in that I have discovered what it truly means to be accepted without condition.

In the painting, she is at ease, in the warmth of being truly seen. She is not performing or adjusting. She is simply herself, and that is enough.

A moment to reflect

What would it feel like to be loved for exactly who you are — without changing a single thing?
