For a long time, I questioned parts of myself. Why did I need space to recharge? Why was I cautious about trusting people? I once saw these parts of my character as limitations when I compared myself to others who seemed to navigate life so easily. But I came to understand that these qualities had been shaped by what I had lived through. They made me who I am.

In the painting, the abstract black marks represent the scars of the woman's past. She isn't trying to erase them. They are proof of the life she has lived.

She embraces herself with acceptance. She is painted in her underwear and illuminated in light. She is being revealed. There is nothing to hide.
