Behind this painting
This painting is about the trust that grows when you feel genuinely supported by the people around you.
As I came to know myself more deeply, I began to understand which connections truly nourished me. Over time, and with clarity rather than bitterness, I made more considered choices about who I invited into my life.
I found I was drawn to depth—to relationships built on honesty and mutual understanding, where I could simply be myself. What remained after that process of sifting felt solid and real. My husband, my family, and my friends—the people I now carry in my heart.
With them, I discovered what it feels like to be truly accepted and understood. Not a version of myself, but my true self.
That sense of support changed more than my relationships. It changed what I believed was possible. Knowing I was loved and accepted gave me the confidence to trust my own instincts, make decisions that felt true to me, and take leaps I might once have been too afraid to take.
Each leap strengthened my trust in myself. And with the people I loved beside me, I found the courage to keep choosing the life that felt right for me, even when I couldn't see exactly where it would lead.
