21 - BECOMING BETTY

The twenty-first and final painting in the collection. Alongside the paintings, I've written the book "Your Story In Mine" that tells the story of the path I took to change old behaviours, let go of the life I thought I was supposed to lead, and choose the life I actually wanted.

I could never have imagined the peace and freedom that would be waiting for me on the other side.

​

I now have the people I love, the things I love, and a life that feels genuinely mine. I'm doing work that brings me joy. I'm painting. I'm writing. I'm creating. And, perhaps most importantly, I wake up knowing that I get to choose how I spend my days.

​

This is what Becoming Betty means to me. Not becoming someone different, but finally becoming the woman I was always capable of being.  She was always there.

I hope The Path does more than tell my story.  I hope it makes you look at your own.

Because if there is one thing I've learned, it's that we don't have to keep living the life we've always lived. We can change old patterns. We can make different choices. We can create space for the things that matter to us.

​

And we can follow our own path towards the life we want to lead.
