21 - BECOMING BETTY

This painting is a self portrait, painted from a place of genuinely feeling at peace with who and where I am.

I'm doing work that brings me joy. I'm painting. I'm writing. I'm creating work that means something to me and to someone else. Work that does more than tell my story. It inspires people to look at their own, with the sincere hope it takes them to a place where they too can wake up in genuine contentment.

Becoming Betty was not becoming someone different, but finally becoming the woman I was always capable of being. She was always there. She just needed to be found.
