Behind this painting
This painting is about the strength we build by choosing to keep moving — even when the path ahead isn't clear.
There are moments in life when staying where we are feels harder than stepping into the unknown. When the only way through is forward, even without certainty of what lies ahead. I have lived those moments, and what carried me through was a deep trust that something would shift on the other side—and that the life waiting for me there would be worth the journey.
What I've come to understand is that resilience isn't about being unaffected by what happens. It's about continuing anyway — making the decisions that matter, trusting yourself, and discovering that you are stronger than you realised.
In the painting, her stillness is the focus. The calm in her expression holds the feeling of having come through something and still standing — not despite the storms behind her, but having moved through them.
The storms in the background reflect everything she has lived through. And yet there she is. Still glowing.
A moment to reflect
What has walking through a difficult chapter taught you that staying still never could have?
